# Limits

Parallel calls and calls per second.

Every account has two limits:

| Limit | Default | What it means |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Channels | 1 | Calls in progress at the same time |
| CPS | 1 | New calls started per second |

A call over either limit is refused. Through the Call API you get `429` with `client_channels` or `client_cps`.

## Raising your limits

Write to support with the account's phone number and the channels and CPS you need. Your current limits are shown in **Settings**.
